Playable Sprites

Here are some sprites I found. Im going to be working on some of my own to put in Pokeworld (maybe).

Nice eevee bros! i'll start working on some to then i will post them into the mmo section. They might not be done anytime soon though because i am filling in an application for medical school for year 9- year 13 (i don't know what grade that is but it's roughly 13-18)

I already have all of those sprites done. I've also already finished the following:

Nice, work PCG! I might make some custom ones so when we change it to our own tiles we can use them

This just inspired me to make a tutorial on how to put them into the game in the correct way/format.

I'll probably make a tutorial on how to do this by Sunday or so.

Are there going to be differnt kinds that players can pick? Or just a girl charecter and a boy one? And here are some of the players walking I did up. My friend wanted me to do these ones. Ill get around to more soon.
Ill post mine when I get them done. Wont be for a wile since this is my first time makeing them

You forgot to put the normal animation in the middle. Way to fail.

Sorry for the double posts. Is this what your talking about? If so. What speed do the charecters move at?

Well they move differently at different times, palmer in the battle tower walks in slowly whilst he runs earlier. But i guess the normal walking pace will roughly be speed 2, how many frames per second is it? And are you using GIF movie gear?

Speed 1 is 500 mili seconds (I think thats what it's called), Speed 2 is 400, and Speed 3 is 100. Im useing GIMP to do it. If you want to know how im sure I can tell you. It's pretty easy.

Well, we don't do the system with .gifs. We do it with character maps so it's more accurate and looks more professional. See my tutorial for how to make character maps. Also, don't make them in .gifs, post the character map. :V A .Gif isn't going to do anything for us.

Yea I know we arn't going to be useing GIFs. That's just how I do it when I test to see if the sprites move right. And what are Character Maps? They the sprites of the characters? Like this (my character). Do you want so the background is invisible to? It's white right now. But wont take me to long to make it invisible.

They both have invisible backgrounds. So they should work with it.

Thats her name? Huh, never knew that. Lol, But yea, I seen her sprite in your Trainer Card on Pokestadium. She also has a back sprite somewhere, I know I saw one somewhere. But heres another question. Are we going to be useing sprites from pokemon diamond and pearl? And if so, are we going to be useing all of them!? Gym leaders, elite four, npcs, etc.

For now, yes. We may keep some in, we may not. Eventually, we'll try to revamp them and make them (if possible) look better and use those to avoid the law. Hi Nintendo!

nice work O_o I'll have to shove these in 0.0.3 there will be an extra temporary screen when you connect to select a character. As far as making character sheets make as many as you can! Infact if you make your own character sprites its even better!

Thanx, lol. I just got the body from the 8th gym leader, and put the head of the tycoon guy on it. Then the body color is the color of Articuno! Lol, and ok. Im puting as many sprite sheets together as I can. And im sorting them out by boy and girls so that the users can choose for a boy or a girl better. And after I get all these sprites done ill start on makeing my own. Do you know of any site that will make Text Documents (like wordpad) downloadable so that you can download them to your computer and you will have all the pictures/text in it. That would be a whole lot easier to get the sprites to you then saving them, and puting the on imageshack then puting every code into a post!

Can't really tell, most of the time you just need to test them ingame, but since the server isn't up and people are having trouble without SlimDX...

Just wait for a new patch to be released or whatnot and then test them then. Or we'll just test them before it's released...

Nice sprite Snakehead! It looks like there on the right side from what I can see. But yea, as PCG said, you wont know till you try out in the game. Once again nice work!

As much as I hate to put myself in the position of making it seem like I could be responsible for actually doing something sprite related...

Dragon if you want to do something. Couldn't you draw up a couple characters for PokeWorld. And then you or 1 of us could put them into small form (the kind you move around with). Thats just a thought, Tocs said that he would like some sprites that we made up ourselfs.
